Parenting young children is one of the greatest joys and privileges that we as parents could ever have. But boy is it hard! Young children are very time, attention, and energy intensive, and it is an exhausting period for parents. Fortunately, they don’t stay so young and demanding forever, but whilst they are in that stage, you want to make the most of it. The impact that we as parents have on young children is quite massive, and it’s important to remember this as we go about the daily grind. With that in mind, here are three parenting tips that will help you at various stages of your little one’s life.
1. Keep your child safe from SIDS with this piece of technology.
SIDS is every parents worst nightmare. To find your child dead in their cot is a thought that is horrific to say the least. Fortunately, in our modern day and age, there is technology that will help with preventing, or at least greatly minimising the risk of it happening. This wondrous piece of technology is simply the AC401 Baby Monitor. It is a simple yet very advanced device, that consists of a pressure mat that you place under the baby’s mattress. This monitors your baby’s sleeping, such that if your baby were to stop breathing, an alarm would sound on the portable monitor that you keep by your bed (or carry around the house). Thus in this device you have true piece of mind, knowing that your little one is under constant surveillance. A potential life saver!
2. Be sure to provide the right stimulation for your baby.
Babies love to have attention! They love it when we cuddle them, and look at them, pulling funny faces, and saying funny things. They live off it! In fact, it’s helpful for their development, as their brains develop by taking in things from external stimuli.
One easy way that you can engage them is via a mat known as the Fisher Price Rainforest Gym. This is a simple mat with two overhanging arms, which dangle various fluffy animals that baby can look at and touch.
You simply place baby down on the mat, on their back, and they can look up and enjoy all the dangling fluffy animals. You can also turn sounds on and off, so as to further provide entertainment and enjoyment for baby.
3. Get your little one sleeping through the night.
Look, it’s not easy having a toddler that doesn’t want to sleep through the night. In fact, it can be downright exhausting and frustrating. Fortunately, there is help available, in the form of the Gro-Clock. This nifty device is sensational, and yet so simple you may wonder why no one had thought of it before. Simply set the sleep time, and the wake-up time. At sleep time, the clock face changes to a blue star, that tells your little one that it is sleep time. When it is time to wake up, the clock face changes to a yellow star, letting your little one know that they can get out of bed. Incredibly simple, and yet incredibly effective!
